A.R.T.S./A.R.T.S.+

The Northrop Grumman Gaveliers Toastmasters Club A.R.T.S / A.R.T.S.+ committees are designed to:

  • have members ready and able to complete meeting roles that are unfilled at the beginning of the meeting.
  • allow members who want to give additional speeches the opportunity to do so.
  • allow members to get additional opportunities to complete any role on the agenda.

     THE A.R.T.S COMMITTEE

The A.R.T.S. committee asks all members to be ready to perform any role on the agenda, except the Speaker's role.

This means when  you enter the meeting and one or more meeting roles are unfulfilled, you are completely ready to step in and complete one of those roles (with the exception of Speaker).

     THE A.R.T.S + COMMITTEE

The A.R.T.S. + committee asks all members to be ready to perform any role on the agenda.

This means when  you enter the meeting and one or more meeting roles are unfulfilled, you are completely ready to step in and complete that role.

How it works.
Being on the A.R.T.S Committee is completely voluntary.

  • Being completely prepared for any role, other than Speaker.
  • Create a Word document to help with meeting roles.
    • As Timer, have the Green, Yellow and Red timing cards available.
    • Have access to a timing device, in person or online.
  • As Grammarian/AH Counter - have a word (and part of speech), with definition.  and how to use in a sentence ready to post in chat.
  • Table Topicsmaster - have a set of table topic questions - call on people not on the program first.
  • As Toastmaster of the Day - have a theme ready. No need to have others participate in your theme. Just have several 'tidbits' to reveal before introduce each participant.
  • As the General Evaluator - be prepared to identify who is on your team (timer, grammarian-ah counter, and evaluators), or quickly find replacements as you enter the meeting.

Being on the A.R.T.S.+ Committee is completely voluntary.

  • Same requirements as above.
  • Always be prepared for a Pathways project. In addition to this, have the evaluation form for your project ready to post in chat.

If you want to volunteer to serve on either committee, just let me know: fstorey1943@gmail.com.
