When You Are the Speaker
 
 
 
A major part of every Toastmasters meeting revolves around two or more scheduled speakers. Members prepare their speeches based on projects in Toastmasters Pathways learning experience.

Giving a prepared speech provides an excellent opportunity to practice your communication and leadership skills, including planning, organization, and time management.

Tips on being a more effetive Speaker:
 
  • Check the club schedule regularly to see which role you are given for the next meeting
  • Review your project thoroughly my opening the project in Base Camp
  • Contact your evaluator and provide your evaluation form (found here).
  • Contact the Toastmaster of the Day and provide the following:
    • A short introduction
    • Speech title
    • Path name
    • Level
    • Project description
    • Time required for project (for the timer)
    • Finally, return to Base Camp, relaunch your project and complete the 'Assess Your Skills - AFTER'
    • Club Database
