Toastmasters club meetings provide an opportunity for members to learn and practice communication and leadership skills by assuming a variety of roles. Each meeting role has a unique set of responsibilities and skills for you to explore.

As new members join during this period where online meetings are the norm for the day, think how difficult it will be for them to understand what is involved with each meeting role. Add to that the complexity of Pathways, Base Camp, paths, levels, projects, assessment, the Navigator, etc. - is it any wonder why they might find Toastmasters confusing?

Tips for better online meetings.

RECAP

The Pathways program consists of 11 paths (click any one for details): Dynamic Leadership, Effective Coaching, Innovative Planning, Leadership Development, Motivational Strategies, Persuasive Influence, Presentation Mastery, Strategic Relationships, Team Collaboration, Visionary Communication, and Engaging Humor. Each path has 14 Projects (10 required and 4 elective) spread over 5 Levels. Simple, No?

Want to access all paths on one page? Here you go.

Want more? Here's all sixty-three projects, alphabetically, no less. Keep in mind, projects are not necessarily speeches. A project might be:
  • A speech
  • A number of speeches and an evaluation
  • Completing a role as an evaluator
  • Table Topics Master or the meeting’s Toastmaster
  • Creating a blog
  • Creating a podcast
  • Moderating a panel discussion
Here's an online Tutorial for Pathways. Just go here, scroll down until you see the round, green start button. View the first dozen pages. Read the page, then click in bottom right corner to advance to the next lesson. Start.
